The Kodak PlaySport (Zx3) HD Waterproof Pocket Video Camera is a good piece of equipment for the price. It is rated to be waterproof up to ten feet under water and still record beautiful HD video. Quality video pictures are what this little camera delivers, and it does it while doing many outdoor, athletic things that normal video cameras can not. One of the things that can ruin an opportunity to get perfectly captured images is too much glare on the display screen. If you record in the highest resolution you may find it to be just a bit jumpy if you move too fast while recording. You can get rid of almost all the jumpy bits by reducing the resolution a bit and make smoother pans while filming. It isn’t anything you wouldn’t expect from a camera in this price range, and frankly I don’t think you’ll find one that doesn’t have this minor quirk at the same price point.
So lets do a quick review. Great price, great for the outdoors, excellent quality video pictures and its made by Kodak. What more is there to say – just give it a quick test drive! The camera is perfect for sticking in your pocket for easily accessible recording on the go. The main control button takes a while to get used to and can be a problem for some at first. After you use it for a while it does get easier to control. If you’re looking for a budget travel video camera then the Kodak PlaySport Zx3 Pocket Camera is an all-around good choice.
